Trucking Association Goes On Offensive

(Providence, RI)  --  The Rhode Island Trucking Association is happy that a measure restricting truck traffic on secondary roads was shot down last week.  But the organization says the reexamination of the issue is on the horizon after RIDOT asked the State Traffic Commission to reopen it.  The Trucking Association says the claim that the measure was to preserve the safety of roads was to really force truckers to pay the planned truck toll on Interstate-95.
