ACLU Wants Answers About Deadly I-95 Shootout

(Providence, RI)  --  The ACLU of Rhode Island is questioning the high-speed pursuit and use of lethal force in Thursday's officer-involved shooting in Providence.  More than 40 rounds were fired at the Ford F-250 pickup that rammed cars on Interstate 95, killing Joseph J. Santos and wounding Christine Demers.  The ACLU also wants to know why more body cameras were not turned on and why the names of state police officers have not been released.  Both the Providence police and state police have not commented.
