AL FRANKEN'S APOLOGY TOUR CONTINUES

Franken Again Apologizes For Groping Women...Sort Of

Senator Al Franken is continuing his apology tour over the groping of four women, this time speaking at the Capitol. The Minnesota Democrat said he knows he has let a lot of people down and wants to learn from his mistakes – and added that he’s ready to be held accountable for his actions.

But as some have noticed, Franken still isn’t making clear what he’s apologizing for. While he describes himself as “embarrassed” and “ashamed” – he still hasn’t admitted anything. In fact, with the exception of the Leenn Tweeden photo, he continues to say that he either “remembers the events differently” or doesn’t remember them at all. He also can’t say if any other accusers will come forward.

"I take a lot of pictures in Minnesota. Thousands of pictures. Tens of thousands of people. Those are instances that I don't remember,” he said yesterday. “It has, from these stories, been clear that there are some women – and one is too many – who feel that I have done something disrespectful or that hurt them. For that, I am tremendously sorry.”

If BEING VAGUE was an Olympic sport, Franken would cop the gold.
