(East Providence, RI) -- Authorities and the Gordon School in East Providence are investigating claims of sexual abuse by a former teacher. A letter sent to parents yesterday indicates allegations against Andrew D. Cohen, who was at the school from 1972 to 1977. Claims of abuse and rape were made to the police and Cohen was suspended at that time, but he never returned to the school. Cohen, who now lives in Coventry, denies the allegations.
