Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Illegally Breeding And Selling Pets

(East Providence, RI)  --  A woman charged with illegally breeding and selling dogs from her East Providence home is being ordered to have no pets while she's free on bond.  Rachel Duarte pled not guilty yesterday to 17 counts of animal cruelty and 365 counts of operating as a breeder and pet shop without a license.  Last month, animal control seized more than 40 cats and dogs with a number of puppies suffering from parvovirus.  Conditions were so bad that Duarte's home was condemned.
