Drug Contamination Forces Recall Of Dog Food

(Providence, RI)  --  The state Department of Health says the J.M. Smucker Company is recalling several of its canned dog food brands.  The Gravy Train, Kibbles 'N Bits, Ol' Roy and Skippy brands may be contaminated with pentobarbital.  The drug is used as a sedative and anesthetic, and sometimes for euthanasia in animals.  FDA tests show the low level of the drug detected is unlikely to pose a health risk.
