PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE

House Democrats have introduced a new slogan just in time for the midterm elections: "For the People."

The new phrase comes just as Democrats are hoping to regain control of the House in a crucial midterm election. The party, which has been criticized by its own members, has been searching for a message that will resonate with voters. The slogan comes a year after Democrats unveiled "A Better Deal" as their 2017 rallying cry. "What we're saying to them is that Democrats hear you, we agree with you and we are fighting for the people each and every day," says Illinois Rep. Cheri Bustos, the co-chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. "PresidentTrump and Washington Republicans promised they'd fix these problems….Trump hotel in Washington is filled with lobbyists and special interests who are writing the rules to enrich themselves."

BTW, a Rasmussen poll of Democrats says 75% of those polled say the Democrats need a fresh face in the 2020 presidential election citing Hillary, Bernie and Biden as the wrong choices.
