Providence Council Passes Bond Question To Voters

(Providence, RI)  --  The Providence City Council is asking voters to decide on a 160-million-dollar school repair bond question this November.  The council voted unanimously to add the question to the ballot on Monday in its final meeting before a summer recess.  Between the local question and a statewide school infrastructure question, Providence residents could be on the hook for 410-million dollars in borrowing total.
