Carnevale Won't Be On Ballot Following Plea Deal

(Providence, RI)  --  Former Providence state Representative John Carnevale won't be on the September primary ballot after he pled no contest to a felony count of perjury on Wednesday.  That announcement was made by Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea following news of the plea deal.  Carnevale acknowledged that he lied about whether he lived in his district in 2016 and was sentenced to home confinement and probation.
