Police:Reporter Accused Of Attacking Man At Debate

(Providence, RI)  --  A radio reporter is being accused of being involved in an altercation at a mayoral debate in Providence last week.  Reynaldo Almonte, the co-founder of Latino Public Radio, allegedly knocked a phone out of the hands of James Kuo and placed his hands on his neck during the debate at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School on Thursday, according to police.  Kuo has made headlines recently for criticizing mayoral candidate Robert DeRobbio for his involvement in the production of the controversial theatre piece The Mikado.  Almonte claims Kuo provoked the situation.
