But as great as some locations, like say Hawaii, may sound, they may not be ideal for retirement for a variety of reasons, and now a new report reveals which places are the best and worst to live out your golden years.
WalletHub has just come out with their picks for the Best and Worst Places to Retire in the U.S., judging more than 180 cities across 46 key metrics in areas like cost-of living, recreational activities and more.
Topping the overall list is Orlando, Florida which scores a 60.09 out of 100, getting high marks for affordability and activities, although it’s on the lower half of the scale when it comes to quality of life. Overall, retirees would do pretty well in Florida, with five of the Top Ten cities in the Sunshine state.
