Reed Announces Money To Address Lead Problems

(Undated)  --  Housing authorities in Providence and Pawtucket are evenly splitting nearly two-million dollars in federal grants to address lead-paint hazards, according to Senator Jack Reed.  The grants will help the authorities address hazards in older public housing units, Reed said on Monday.  The senator's office cites Centers for Disease Control and Prevention statistics that indicate at least four-million households in the U.S. are being exposed to high lead levels.
