New Exhibit On Rhode Island's Voting History

(Providence, RI)  --  Rhode Island Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea is promoting a new exhibition that looks at the history of voting in the Ocean State.  "Voting in Rhode Island: 380 Years of 'I voted'" is at the Rhode Island State Archives.  It includes 19th and 20th-century ballots and ballot readers and 17th-century documents including election results and the earliest legislation providing for proxy and absentee voting.  The exhibit will run until November 23rd.
