Union Confident Of More Talk Before Strike

(Providence, RI)  --  A spokesman for the union representing Providence Public Schools bus drivers tells WPRI-TV there's confidence in another meeting happening with bus company First Student before a strike scheduled for Thursday.  A federally-mediated session last week did not yield an end to the contract impasse, which centers around a dispute about retirement benefits.  If the drivers go on strike, Providence officials have said parents are on their own to get their children to school, as the city has not found any alternative options.
