WHITEHOUSE GETTING PLENTY OF FACETIME

Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse has been front and center since last Thursday's Judiciary Committee hearing of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh angrily denying allegations of sexual misconduct, one of the groundless accusations came from a RI man who claimed the judge got into a scrum with a woman  on a boat in Newport, a claim Kavanaugh called nonsense. Turns out Kavanaugh was right on THAT  one as the RI man quickly recanted. The Committee Chair, Republican Chuck Grassley of Iowa, referred the man's claim to the Department of Justice for potential criminal investigation of the RI man pointing out its illegal to make false statements to congressional investigators of to obstruct their investigations. White, who first flagged the claim for the committee said his constituent is a "regular guy" and he's OWED AN APOLOGY.  Whitehouse says he thinks it sends a message to other people who come forward that they'll be treated unfairly. No, Senator , the message it sends is for people to NOT knee jerk and cross their t's and dot their i's before making such bold accusations about an event that this guy claimed happened 35 years ago. Maybe this BRUGLIONE doesn't deserve to have the hounds of justice let loose on him but he CERTAINLY doesn't deserve an apology either.
