Woonsocket Continuing To Hold Out-Of-State Drivers Accountable

(Woonsocket, RI)  --  The city of Woonsocket is announcing a second round of cracking down on out-of-state vehicle registration violators.  The Valley Breeze reports several-dozen people are scheduled to appear in Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal this week to answer for parking their out-of-state registered vehicles overnight for more than 30 days.  Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt says the autumn enforcement is a follow-up to the police department's swing sweep which resulted in 54 citations being issued.  She says the goal is to more evenly distribute the motor vehicle tax burden among those who are paying and those who should be paying.
