Protests Continue In Front Of Gardner Residence

(Providence, RI)  --  Thursday night was the second night of a large group of protesters making noise outside the new Providence home of convicted child rapist Richard Gardner.  Residents in the Washington Park section of the city found out Gardner was their newest neighbor after being recently released from prison and first organized in front of his house on Wednesday.  Protesters say they'll be organizing daily gatherings in an effort to drive Gardner out.  Providence City Council member Luis Aponte introduced an ordinance yesterday to prohibit sex offenders from living within five-hundred feet of "child safety zones" including schools and daycares.
