Neronha Defeats Gordon In Attorney General Race

(Providence, RI)  --  Former U.S. Attorney Peter Neronha is the newest attorney general in Rhode Island.  Neronha, a Democrat, secured roughly 80 percent of the vote against Alan Gordon, of the Compassion Party, in Tuesday's election.  Current A.G. Peter Kilmartin could not run again because of term limits.  Democratic incumbents kept their positions in other state office races, including Lieutenant Governor Dan McKee, Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea, and Treasurer Seth Magaziner.
