(Portsmouth, RI) -- A polling place in Portsmouth was evacuated on Tuesday night. Initial reports indicated the issue at Portsmouth High School was due to a gas leak, but then officials told The Newport Daily News it was because of an electrical issue. The state's Board of Elections announced on Twitter that voting was moved to a new gymnasium outside the main building and voting hours were extended.
