(Phoenix, AZ) -- Rhode Island native Martha McSally is finishing second in the race for a U.S. Senate seat in Arizona. The race has finally been called nearly a week after last Tuesday's midterm elections, with Democrat Kyrsten Sinema being declared the winner of Jeff Flake's old seat. The GOP candidate McSally, a former Air Force pilot who graduated from St. Mary Academy-Bay View in East Providence, currently represents Arizona in the House of Representatives, and Sinema will be giving up her House seat in the state.
