Supreme Court Vacates Sex-Trafficking Conviction

(Providence, RI)  --  The Rhode Island Supreme Court is vacating the sex-trafficking conviction of a Massachusetts man.  Troy Footman was sentenced to 85 years in prison after he was convicted in 2015 for trafficking a runaway 14-year-old girl out of Cheaters strip club in Providence.  The overturning was based on a previous ruling where a Pawtucket man was charged with being a pimp based on a law that has been repealed due to flaws in the wording.  Officials say the Footman case will go back to Superior Court.
