(Phoenix, AZ)  --  Rhode Island native Martha McSally will serve out the remainder of John McCain's term in the Senate.  Arizona Governor Doug Ducey named the Republican congresswoman and former fighter pilot to replace outgoing Senator Jon Kyl, who is retiring at the end of the month after being tapped to replace the late Senator John McCain.  The McCain seat becomes open in 2020.  McSally recently lost a close Senate contest to Democratic Congresswoman Kyrsten [[ KIR-sten ]] Sinema in the race to replace outgoing Republican Senator Jeff Flake.
