State Police Beefing Up Holiday Patrols

(North Scituate, RI)  --  Rhode Island State Police patrols are increasing through the New Year's holiday.  Superintendent Colonel Ann Assumpico says hundreds of people die annually during the holidays because of crashes caused by motorists impaired by alcohol or drugs.  RISP notes that as of December 21st, there have been 58 auto accident-related fatalities this year, compared to 84 all of last year.
