(Undated) -- After President Trump endorsed former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling for the Baseball Hall of Fame, Rhode Island Congressman David Cicilline got into it with Schilling on Twitter on Tuesday. Cicilline criticized Schilling for defaulting on a loan given to him by Rhode Island taxpayers, referencing the failed 38 Studios project. Schilling responded with a tweet that began, quote, "RI taxpayers didn't give me anything. You idiots did". Schilling was not included in the Baseball Writers' Association of America's 2019 Hall of Fame class.
