(Providence, RI) -- The Providence Preservation Society is releasing its list of most-endangered properties for 2019. Topping the list is the Industrial Trust Building, also known as the Superman Building, which remains the tallest building in the state. The preservation society says the building has been vacant since 2013, when the sole tenant Bank of America's lease expired, and that the vacancy remains the most critical development and preservation challenge currently facing any historic building in the state. It says while its future remains uncertain, the building goes through continued deterioration and the threat of demolition with each passing year.
