Rhode Island Congressional Delegation Dislikes National Emergency Move

(Undated)--Members of Rhode Island's Congressional delegation are weighing in on the government funding bill that President Trump is expected to sign today, and Trump's plan to declare a national emergency to get border wall funding.Regarding the spending bill that was passed, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse praised it as a bipartisan deal, but added that Trump is thrusting the country into a new manufactured crisis with the national emergency plan.Congressman David Cicilline says that there is no national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border but listed numerous issues that he and other Democrats view as real emergencies, such as gun violence.
