(Newport, RI)--Senator Jack Reed was in Newport on Tuesday to announce the availability of low-interest federal disaster loans in the wake of last month's natural gas outage.Service on Aquidneck Island was disrupted for days, caused by a drop in pressure in transmission lines.Reed said a week of lost revenue has impacted the bottom lines of small businesses.A business recovery center is being run by the Small Business Administration at the Newport Harbor and Marina.
