Man Sentenced For Fatal DUI Crash In Foster

(Providence, RI)--A man is being sent to prison on DUI charges in connection to a crash that killed a driver in Rhode Island.The Rhode Island Attorney General's office says James Beattie of Danielson, Connecticut pleaded no contest in Providence County Superior Court on Thursday and was sentenced to 15 years behind bars with nine-and-a-half years to serve.Prosecutors say Beattie was driving on Route 101 in Foster in January of 2017 and struck two victims head-on, killing Orlando Colon of Southbridge, Massachusetts and injuring two others.
