Case Dismissed Against Senate Candidate Accused Of Stealing Campaign Signs

(Warwick, RI)--A case has been dismissed against a former state Senate candidate accused of stealing his opponent's campaign signs.The Providence Journal reports a larceny case was dropped against Scott Copley of Coventry in District Court in Warwick last week.Copley ran as a Republican against incumbent Senator Leo Raptakis last November and lost.He was arrested by West Greenwich police after Raptakis accused of him of stealing multiple lawn signs from a couple of gas stations.
