Former Congressional Candidate Admits To Running Fraudulent PACs

(Providence, RI)--Former U.S. House of Representatives candidate in Rhode Island Harold Russell Taub is admitting to operating fraudulent and unregistered political action committees.The U.S. Department of Justice says the Cranston native who ran against David Cicilline in 2016 will be sentenced in July after pleading guilty yesterday to wire fraud and willfully violating the Federal Election Campaign Act.Taub was alleged to have used more than one-million of the one-point-six-million-dollars he collected through two PACs on personal expenses.
