(Central Falls, RI)--A federal judge has ruled that the board overseeing the Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls cannot break its contract with ICE and must allow the center to continue holding ICE detainees.An order from U.S. District Court Chief Judge William Smith sides with trustees for the Wyatt center who challenged the board's recent action to suspend the contract with ICE and move detainees out.A "board monitor" has also been appointed to supervise future board action and report any relevant activity to the trustees.
