Looks like the Impossible Whopper may be getting some competition from McDonald’s. Burger King added it’s plant-based burger last month and everyone has been wondering when the golden arches would be going meatless and now we know.
McDonald’s has now added the Big Vegan Burger TS to menus,but only in Germany. The Garden Gourmet Incredible Burger was developed by Nestle and it’s made with soy, wheat protein, and veggies including beets, carrots, bell peppers to create a meat-like texture.
So even though we can’t chow down on vegan Big Macs just yet, the fact McDonald’s is testing them out in Germany is a good sign. If it’s a success, we could see the plant-based burgers in the U.S. soon.
