(Providence, RI)--Providence Catholic Diocese Bishop Thomas Tobin is following up on his declaration that Catholics should not support or attend LGBTQ "Pride Month" events this month.After that initial tweeted statement on Saturday, Tobin then said yesterday that he regrets that his comments turned out to be so controversial in the community and offensive to some, especially the gay community.He said the Catholic Church has respect and love for members of the gay community.His original tweet drew a high number of protesters last night in front of the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence.
