(Worcester, MA)--The New England Innocence Project says DNA evidence links a deceased Rhode Island man to the killing of a woman in Milford, Massachusetts in 1979.The organization announced on Friday it is seeking a new trial for Gary Cifizzari, who has been in prison for 35 years after he was convicted of killing his great aunt, Concetta Schiappa.The NE Innocence Project says evidence points to the murder being committed by Michael Giroux, who went on to commit other crimes and died in 2014.
