(Providence, RI)--A charter school in Providence is not opening as planned this fall.The Wangari Maathai school was seeking to set up in the historic John Hope Settlement House in the West End of the city, but has missed a state deadline for a lease.School officials say John Hope declined to vote on the lease at the last minute.The school says it is working on finding new educational options for students who were signed up.
