Panic At Capital Pride As Nazis Storm Into Detroit Pride

People are recovering from their injuries after a brief panic at Capital Pride in Washington, DC over the weekend. There were reports of some pop-type sounds that were mistaken for gunshots.

Marchers and spectators at the LGBTQ event fled the area, in some cases climbing over police barricades.

DC officials stressed there was no actual gunfire – though a man was found with a BB gun. After the chaos the Capital Pride Alliance ended the parade early, but said the traditional block party would go on as scheduled.

The situation was different in Detroit as revelers at Motor City Pride were greeted by Nazis. And those Nazis? They enjoyed a police protectionas the chanted Nazi slogans and gay slurs. No one was harmed, but many were wondering why the hatemongers were the ones getting a police escort.
