Feds Trying To Recoup More Money From Imprisoned Former Senator

(Providence, RI)--A former state Senator who was sentenced earlier this year for bank fraud is now being accused of Medicare and Medicaid fraud.James Doyle, the son of the former Pawtucket mayor of the same name, was sentenced in April to two years in federal prison and ordered to pay restitution for a check-kiting scheme as part of his ownership of a pair of medical service businesses.The Providence Journal reports U.S. Attorney Aaron Weisman's office filed a complaint in federal court last week accusing Doyle of filing hundreds of false Medicare and Medicaid claims for the businesses.Prosecutors are seeking 46-thousand dollars in payments.
