More Men Are Turning To Plastic Surgery

While we may mostly think of women when it comes to plastic surgery, it turns out there are plenty of men going under the knife to make themselves look younger and more attractive.

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, over 1.3 million cosmetic procedures were performed on men last year, a 29% increase since 2000. In fact, procedures for men are becoming so popular, the organization claims a “Daddy Do-Over” has become a common request for Father’s Day.

When it comes to surgical procedures, more than 200,000 were performed on men. So, what are the most popular? Well, rhinoplasty (a.k.a. nose job) tops the list with 52,000 procedures, followed by:

  • Eyelid surgery
  • Liposuction
  • Breast reduction
  • Hair transplantation

Non-surgical procedures are also pretty popular, with men undergoing nearly half a million Botox procedures, and more than 100,000 filler injections in order to look younger. In fact, such minimally invasive procedures seem to be just as popular with men as they are for women.
