Biden Loses 10 Points Of Support After Debate Performance

It wasn't a great night of debating for former Vice President Joe Biden last week. In fact, the support among likely Democratic voters plummetted after his performance. His numbers dropped 10 points after he struggled to defend his anti-busing record during the first Democratic presidential debate performance of his 2020 bid.

Biden had enjoyed 41.5% support among likely Democratic voters prior to the debate, however, that support dropped significantly to 31.5% afterward, according to a Morning Consult/FiveThirtyEight poll.

He can thank Senator Kamala Harris for those numbers as she attacked Biden during Thursday's debate in Miami for working with segregationist senators in the 1970s to oppose federal desegregation busing.

ONE MORE THING:Biden also lost a key contributor to his campaign after the debate. Tom McInerney informed Biden’s team last week he can no longer back his campaign. He had been a big fundraiser for the Biden campaign.
