Beaches Back Open In Time For Governor's Bay Day

(Undated)--The annual Governor's Bay Day was on Sunday.It has been celebrated in Rhode Island since 1989 following a massive oil spill and began as an effort to showcase Narragansett Bay, but also to highlight its vulnerability.Governor Gina Raimondo was at Roger Wheeler Beach in Narragansett.Parking at state beaches was free yesterday, and state officials said all state beaches that had been closed last week were re-opened.
