Restaurant Co-Owner Charged In Connection To Death Investigation

(Hopkinton, RI)--A businessman in southern Rhode Island is facing charges in connection to a death investigation.Town resident Derrick Payne Sr. was found dead underneath an overturned Jeep on a driving range outside Boneyard Barbecue and Saloon in Hopkinton on August 16th.On Friday, Hopkinton police arrested Patrick Kane, a co-owner of the restaurant, for obstruction of justice, noting it was his Jeep that apparently had been used to go four-wheeling through the driving range sometime after the restaurant closed.Authorities say the crash was not immediately reported.
