Restaurant Co-Owner Accused Of Lying To Police Investigating Death

(Wakefield, RI)--New details are out about why a southern Rhode Island businessman is facing charges in connection to a fatal crash.Hopkinton police found a man pinned under a Jeep at a driving range next to the Boneyard Barbecue and Saloon last month.Police said the owner of the Jeep, restaurant co-owner Patrick Kane, lied to them during the investigation by saying the restaurant's surveillance equipment hadn't been working.Kane pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor obstruction charge in court on Tuesday.
