(Providence, RI) --The Providence Catholic Diocese is announcing the passing of a former bishop.Francis Roque, who had first served as an assistant pastor at St. Luke's in Barrington and Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence, died last Thursday.The Providence native later served as a chaplain in the U.S. Army and was in Vietnam, among other places, then was Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese for the Military Services from 1983 to 2004.
