(Newport, RI)--A Massachusetts state trooper was arrested in Newport over the weekend.Reports indicate Brian Kilfoyle had been told to leave the One Pelham East nightlife spot and later engaged in a fight with a Newport police officer outside.The reporting officer said he smelled alcohol on Kilfoyle's breath and said he was combative.A Massachusetts State Police spokesperson says Kilfoyle has been placed on leave.
