UAW: GM Talks Taking "Turn For The Worse"

The nearly two-and-a-half week strike between United Auto Workers and General Motors has hit a serious snag. According to the U-A-W, talks have taken a "turn for the worse."

The United Auto Workers union said that while there was some progress on negotiations, talks are breaking down. The union claims GM has shown an "unwillingness to fairly compensate" its workers. Nearly 50-thousand workers hit the picket lines on September 16th.

They are demanding higher wages, affordable healthcare and a higher share of profits.
