Governor Doesn't Support Proposed DMV Walk-In Fee

(Cranston, RI)--Governor Gina Raimondo is not on-board with a plan to charge a fifteen-dollar fee for going to the Rhode Island DMV.The Providence Journal reported last week that the DMV was proposing the fee for customers who go to the department in person to take care of things that could be done online, such as license and registration renewals.A Raimondo spokesperson tells the Projo she does not support the recommendation and will not include it in her budget for next year.
