Iraq To US: Your Withdrawing Syrian Forces Aren’t Allowed Here

The pushback from President Trump ordering the pull out of US troops from Syria continues.

Iraq says U.S. forces there after they pulled out of neighboring Syria don't have permission to stay. The Iraqi military said today that the troops can only be in the country while transiting somewhere else.

This contradicts what the Pentagon said, that the troops would be in Western Iraq to continue fighting ISIS. A senior defense official backtracked on that assessment and now says the situation “is fluid.”

Iraq currently hosts more than five-thousand American troops in other parts of the country. The area they refuse to let the withdrawing troops into is Kurdish territory.
