Yesterday was First Responders Day and John Cena stepped up to honor them.
The WWE star and actor plays a fireman in the upcoming movie “Playing with Fire,” and wanted to shine the light on those who risk their lives for strangers. In a social media post. Cena said he’d donate 500 thousand dollars to the first responder charity of Paramount Pictures’ choosing.
The movie studio responded with their picks. They shared “Thank you @JohnCena for your generosity & dedication to our first responders. We've chosen two charities to share your donation: @CAFireFound & the @LAFDFoundation, which provide essential services to the dedicated firefighters who are working tirelessly to keep us safe.”
