Police in South Florida say four people are dead after a shootout with robbery suspects who carjacked a UPS truck.
Two suspects who robbed a jewelry store were killed as they exchanged gunfire with police yesterday. Besides the two suspects, a UPS driver and a bystander were killed. The incident started in Coral Gables with the suspects robbing a jewelry store.
A shootout ensued at that location and the suspects hijacked a UPS truck and kidnapped the driver. Police caught up with the suspects 20 miles from where the original crime happened and they were killed in a hail of gunfire.
The FBI and ATF are joining the investigation.
