(Woonsocket, RI)--The 17-year-old girl who died in a shooting in Woonsocket on Wednesday night is being identified as Nyasia Williams-Thomas.The Woonsocket Police Department said the investigation so far has revealed that the shooting was apparently not a random act of violence, that someone in the vehicle that was being driven by Williams-Thomas when the shooting happened was targeted, and that this may have been a case of mistaken identity.There were two other people inside the vehicle; police say they were not injured.
